Historic re-enactments, storytelling, refreshments. Learn about the day that the Emancipation Proclamation was issued and the impact it had on the African American population in 1863. |

Dr. Martin Luther King Day Celebration
Noon - 2pm
Enjoy screenings of the film My Friend Martin at noon and 2 p.m. Celebration will also include an art contest for elementary students, with posters created by students on display from January 10 through January 30. Nathan Richardson debuts his highly anticipated poetry collection, You Are The Subject. This "Valentine's Day" themed event will feature Mr. Richardson presenting work from his book. Books will be available for purchase. Admission is free. |
