Story Telling & Craft Activity
11am

Join Sonya Scott of Pearl Bailey Library and hear a story then make a craft that relates to the story. For ages 4 – 9 years old. All materials provided. Free, however Pre-registration is desired.

December 1, 2007
Keeping Hope Alive – World AIDS Day Recognition
Noon - 4pm

Introduction and purpose of event – Noon. Debut of interpretive dance by Michelle Gilliam and company – 12:30pm; Health information and testimonies of hope – all day. Posters created by area high school students will be on display. 2pm - Free screening of movie, Life Support starring Queen Latifah.

Soulful Christmas Celebration
Noon - 4pm

A full day of holiday happenings! Visit and take pictures with our African American Santa. Enjoy sounds of the season provided by area youth choirs. Find special gifts from local craftsmen/women. Give back to the community by donating to Toys-4-Tots.

December 15, 2007
Habari Gani? - Kwanzaa Workshop
1pm - 4pm

A family workshop that will provide information to help families celebrate this cultural, week long celebration. The principles of Kwanzaa, craft ideas and recipes will be discussed and demonstrated.
